CASE Circle of Excellence Award, 2019
Arcadia University received recognition from the CASE Circle of Excellence award program for the Public Art Project in Glenside for Community Relations Programs. The full project timeline of over three years was submitted, including the 2017 and 2018 Spring Apprenticeship classes. The judge's shared a meaningful response that demonstrated they appreciated the scope and the value of this learning experience: "This project was truly a collaborative effort that spoke to the university’s history of bringing art into the public domain. The project required not only an artistic/creative component, but a business/entrepreneurial effort on behalf of the students—a lesson for the students that also impacted the community. The combination of owned and earned media brought life to the project. Bits and Pieces is more than a mural, and this was clear throughout the entry materials."
